Lifelong Learning in Music
is a joint lectorate of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Design, Music and Dance, The Hague. Please go to Lectorate to find information about contents and a filmimpression of the Lectorate.
Launch of an innovative master programme The lectorate has designed and developed a new master programme that is unique in Europe: the ‘Joint Master for New Audiences and Innovative Practice’. After the accreditation procedure has been completed, this programme will be offered from September 09 onwards at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and the Prince Clause Conservatoire in Groningen.
The programme has been developed, with the help of subsidy of the European Socrates Erasmus programme, together with the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, Iceland Academy of the Arts in Reykjavik and the School of Music of the University of Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä, Finland. The master will be offered in all five conservatoires and includes a one- semester exchange for students in one of the five partner institutions. In September the pilot year (2008-09) has started with a group of graduates as participants.
The Operaflat You walk in the gallery, you ring the doorbell, you hear stumbling and carefully the lock is removed. Very, very slowly the door opens. And then… Twentyfive 'door drama's', made by pupils of the public primary school 'Overvecht', and composers and singers of nine Dutch conservatoires.
The Lectorate participated in The Operaflat, which is part of the Yo! Opera Festival. This festival introduces children and young people to special and appealing forms of opera. Early November 2007 the 4th edition of the Yo! Opera Festival was held. The lectorate did research, evaluated and will make recommendations for the future. More
